Short intro: Task Warnings

“Camping Out” happens when employees feel more comfortable on their current tasks than upcoming ones. That can be a big problem. Projects don’t move forward. Budgets get blown. And forget about schedules. Everything gets extended, all because tasks were not expeditiously completed and checked off.

Employees Camp Out on Tasks

So what can you do about it?

Use task warnings.

Set a percentage of completion for a warning. And then set another percentage where tasks cannot be extended. Employees will get a popup on the first percentage, urging them to complete the task. Then they’ll get a second popup that prevents any more time from being entered.

That two-stage scheme keeps tasks moving forward, and prevents camping out.
